Lawrence Gervasi, MD, FACS is board certified by the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons . He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He earned a medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. At North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York, he completed a general surgery residency. Dr. Gervasi completed a urology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Gervasi is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Urology at Northeast Ohio Medical University. Dr. Gervasi is the Medical Director of Clinical Research at SouthWest Urology where he has been in practice since 1991. He is certified by the Academy of Clinical Research Professionals as a Certified Principal Investigator.
Dr. Gervasi has served as principal investigator or sub investigator for more than one hundred clinical trials. Dr. Gervasi is the Director of the Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic and has published and lectured nationally on the topic of prostate cancer. He is past Chief of Urology at the University Hospitals at Parma Community Medical Center Hospital and SouthWest Medical Center. He is also past Chief of Surgery at University Hospitals at Parma Community Medical Center Hospital.
Dr. Gervasi’s interests include clinical research, medical and surgical management of benign prostate diseases, UroLift procedure, stone disease, erectile dysfunction, urinary incontinence, no-scalpel vasectomy, and microsurgical vasectomy reversal. Dr. Gervasi has received the peer-chosen “Best Physician’s Award” published in Cleveland Magazine. He graduated from St. Ignatius High School and is married with four adult children.
