Michael Barkoukis, MD, FACS is certified by the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He graduated magna cum laude from Colgate University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed general surgery and urology residency at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Barkoukis is co-founder of SouthWest Urology, Inc. and has practiced with the group since 1982 where he currently serves as President. He is current chairman of Urology at Southwest General Health Center and past Chairman of the Department of Surgery and past President at Parma Community General Hospital. Dr. Barkoukis currently sits on the board for the Parma Hospital Foundation. Dr. Barkoukis is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Urology at Case Western Reserve University. He holds memberships with many professional organizations including the American Urological Association, the American Association of Clinical Urologists, The American Fertility Society, and the Ohio Urological Society. Dr. Barkoukis has been honored in the National Directory of Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals. In his spare time, Michael enjoys photography, fishing and scuba diving. He and his wife, Hope, live in Brecksville, Ohio and have three children.
